Waterloo is a village just south of Brussels in Belgium, there on June 18th 1815 Napoleon Bonaparte led the French into the famous Battle of Waterloo against the Alliance of the Seventh Coalition led by the Duke of Wellington and General von Blücher, representing Britain, Prussia, Russia and Austria. The Coalitions victory put an end to Napoleon's rule as Emperor of the French and the restoration of Louis XVIII to the throne.
